Our Review: I'm getting quite a similar distance to the Ping G5 or the Sonartec NP-99, but this club is easier to hit. One can still work the ball, but you are not punished anywhere nearly as severe for a miss hit. While the standard Aldila Graphite shaft is not as good as the optional Aldila NV75 it get's the job done. The face is a bit deeper on this club than many fairway woods, but I still found I could take it off the turf pretty easily. The bigger club head is slightly harder to hit off the deck but still works just fine. Main advantage is length off the tee, almost makes a driver obsolete. Par 5, 530 yards, used this 3 wood off the tee, and again off the fairway (from 240) to the front of the green.
The sound and feel was a surprise. It is quite muted, almost a soft feel off the face which belies the jump the ball gets. If you play forged blade irons this club has a similar feel off the face. Mis-hits are well managed. Toe hits draw back nicely, heel shots fade, but still get good distance. For $49 compared to $299 for the Ping® G5 this is great value for money!
Likes: Distance and control are great.
Dislikes: Right hand only, no LH
